Miro’s Bar de Tapas

Student project: Upperclass Spanish tapas bar, imbued with artistic flare and phenomenal food by a James Beard Award-winning chef. High-class, low-brow, family-style restaurant with a chef’s menu

The Miro's project was within my comfort zone of food and beverage but I still wanted to stretch myself so instead of repeating the mid/low class things I've been creating so I ended up deciding to go high class/low brow for this restaurant. The entire concept was built around Miro's artwork rather than his ideals, and I hoped that this would become an encapsulation of Spain and Catalonian culture. My color scheme and some of the icons I used come directly from a selection of Miro's works. The tagline is probably my favourite part of this branding, allowing a cheekiness and a break from the serious, more sophisticated expectations of high-class dining in big cities.
